Homestead
The story of the Pri Štefacovih farm begins in 1628, in the protected village of Žerovnica, on the edge of the intermittent Lake Cerknica, where the seasons are more pronounced and the rhythm of life is slower.
Renovirali smo hišo z namenom ohraniti njeno dušo in ji dodati udobje sodobnega bivanja. We used wood from the surrounding forests and preserved the selected pieces of furniture and elements of the family legacy.
The rooms are bright and serene, the kitchen invites to shared meals, the living room to conversations or silence by the fireplace, and the bedrooms to a good rest. At Štefac's, it's not just a place to stay, but a place to retreat, connect with nature, and experience something that stays in your memory.
Daniela’s Room
A bright and spacious attic room with visible wooden beams, creating warmth and a sense of home. The centerpiece is a comfortable queen-size bed with gentle lighting, and next to it is a corner with two armchairs for reading or relaxation. Natural materials, calm tones, and climate ensure a pleasant stay in all seasons.
Veronika’s Room
An open and cozy room with a large window that fills the space with natural light. A comfortable double bed, soft curtains, and carefully selected details create a sense of peace and homeliness. A special charm is added by the so-called "gašperček," a Yugoslav cast-iron stove that adds warmth and character to the space, while the room harmoniously connects with modern comfort.
Antonia’s Room
Spacious attic room with a distinctive brick wall that gives the room character and warmth. A comfortable queen-size bed, carefully selected retro details, and a sitting area create a pleasant, slightly playful atmosphere. Natural light and soft lighting create a relaxed atmosphere with a sense of home.
Living Spaces
The living spaces of the house are bright and intended for communal living. The kitchen, the heart of the home, invites to prepare meals and long conversations at the table, while the living room offers a peaceful space for rest, reading, or evenings by the fireplace. The bathroom maintains the authentic original layout of the house, which we have thoughtfully adapted for modern use while preserving the character and sense of history of the space.
Wellness Corner
For moments of retreat and relaxation, the house offers a sauna and a wine cellar in the interior of the home, where a sense of peace and privacy is maintained. The hot tub is placed on the terrace and allows relaxation outdoors, in contact with nature and the rhythm of the seasons. Together, these spaces invite you to enjoy quiet moments, relax after an active day, and experience the house authentically.
